What to expect

When you arrive at Holiday Extras Meet and Greet North

Drive past the Sofitel Hotel and turn right immediately after the pedestrian traffic lights into the Sofitel Hotel Car Park. Follow the signs for Meet & Greet Reception, pass through the video booth and park in a dedicated Meet & Greet parking bay.

Head to the Maple Parking reception where you'll need to provide your booking confirmation and car keys, as well as your return flight information.

From there you can walk to the terminal in 3 minutes.

If you are returning back to another terminal, please check with the driver when dropping off your car for the new instructions.

On your return to Gatwick

Once you have collected your luggage, walk back to the Meet and Greet car park and pick up your car from where you dropped it off.

Important Information

It's your responsibility to make sure that your vehicle's road tax is valid, holds a valid MOT certificate and is roadworthy. If your car isn't legal or safe to drive, Holiday Extras Meet and Greet won't be able to drive it to the car park, and you also won't be able to get a refund.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles/no more than 7 seats) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).

If you have a specially adapted vehicle this will need to be checked with the car park. To see if Holiday Extras Meet and Greet can take your vehicle, call 0800 093 5478.

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period up to midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £20 per day. This is subject to change. Don't forget to print your booking confirmation and take it with you as the car park will need to see this when you arrive.

This car park comes with a ‘No Wait Guarantee'. If you have to wait longer than 10 minutes for your car to be returned you'll be refunded 25%. Any longer than 20 minutes you'll be refunded 50% and if you're waiting longer than 40 minutes you'll get all your money back. This applies to the North Terminal only.

This guarantee applies as long as:

- You are arriving back at the North Terminal.
- The correct return flight number, landing date and time have been given.
- Your flight doesn't land more than 15 minutes early, unannounced.
- There aren't any vehicle issues that prevent or delay the return of your vehicle, including mechanical, electrical, fuel.
- There are no road closures or accidents on the journey.
- Heightened security doesn't slow down entry to the airport.

You must drive through the inspection tunnel and follow any instructions given by the team.

  • What about any accessibility requirements?
    The car park welcomes bookings from owners of specially adapted vehicles. However, this must be by prior arrangement to ensure the availability of appropriately trained drivers. To see if the car park can take your vehicle, call us on 0800 093 5478.
  • Is there a maximum car size?
    Holiday Extras Meet and Greet can only take cars that fit into a standard size parking space, which is 2.4m x 4.8m. You'll be charged extra if your car is too large. Minibuses and vehicles with 8 or more seats can't be taken for Meet and Greet services. If you have a specially adapted vehicle this will need to be checked with the car park.     If your vehicle is taller than 1.80m please inform the car park when you call and they will meet you in an alternative area outside the car park.

  • What security measures are in place?
    While you're away, your car will be stored in a secured car park. All have been awarded the police Park Mark award, the Trading Standards Authority's Buy With Confidence award and are approved by Gatwick Airport. All of the car parks are surrounded by a fence and are either manned 24 hours, have CCTV in use, or have dedicated 24-hour security patrols.

- As you enter the North Terminal from the main roundabout, stay in the right-hand lane for "Drop Off and Hotels".
- Keep in the right-hand lane following signs for "hotels" and "Sofitel Hotel".
- Drive past the pedestrian crossing.
- Turn right immediately after the pedestrian crossing into the Sofitel car park.
- The barrier should open automatically if you've given your vehicle details.
- If the barrier doesn't open, take a ticket and hand it to our Meet and Greet team at their reception desk.
- Once in the car park follow signs for 'Meet & Greet Reception'.
- You'll pass through our vehicle inspection tunnel.
- The meet and greet team may ask you to stop as you drive through, so please follow any instructions they give you.
- Our dedicated meet & greet area will be on your left.
- Park in a meet & greet bay and proceed to the meet & greet reception to check-in.
