When you arrive at JetParks 1
The car park has automatic number plate recognition, so you'll need to give us your car registration number when you book.
Drive up to the entry barrier and wait for the machine to read your number plate – this can take up to a minute. The barrier will open, so you can drive in and park.
If nothing happens, press the button marked 'assistance' so you can speak to a member of staff through the intercom. They'll ask you to confirm your details. Don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you'll be charged again for your parking. Also, don't press the ticket button, as this will stop you from entering the car park.
Once you're through the barrier, find a space and keep your keys. From there, just catch the included shuttle bus straight to the terminal. It takes 7 to 8 minutes and runs every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.
During the winter months (October to March) the shuttle bus is not available, and you'll need to take a taxi to the airport. Alternatively, you can walk to the terminal in around 20 minutes.

On your return to East Midlands
Catch the bus back to the car park from where it dropped you off. Then just drive to the exit barrier, which will lift to let you out – this can take up to a minute.
If the barrier doesn't lift, press the 'assistance' button and the parking team will let you out. Don't insert your credit or debit card into the barrier at any point or you'll be charged again for your parking. We recommend having a copy of your booking confirmation with you.
