Parked Cars Vandalised Close to Manchester Airport

Manchester council has asked residents to report any issues after some cars were vandalised after being left in residential streets for long periods of time. One red car had white paint thrown over it and the words ‘No Parkin’ painted on the driver’s side.

This action follows a decision by Manchester council to setup a dedicated enforcement team to deal with problems around the Wythenshawe area caused by travellers and meet and greet companies leaving vehicles in residential streets close to Manchester Airport.

This crackdown by the council has seen 50 cars towed away and nearly 3,000 fines issued to holidaymakers leaving their cars close to the airport in order to avoid costly airport parking fees.
