Southampton Airport celebrated it’s centenary in 2010.
Over the past century the airport has grown and in 2012 a record 1.69 million passengers passed through the airports doors.
Today the airport is owned and operated by LHR Airports Limited. Passengers can fly to over forty four different destinations, although Dublin and Amsterdam are the most popular places to fly too.
There are over twelve airline and tour operators flying from Southampton and include Flybe, Eastern airways, Thomas cook, First Choice and Inghams.
The airport is continuely looking to improve it’s passenger services and recently it’s restaurants, cafes and main concourse areas have just had a £3million upgrade.
Southampton airport is also keen for passengers to upgrade their travel experience and have now introduced a Priority Package which includes priority parking, business lounge and a priority security lane which passengers can pre book and pay for.
