What to expect

When you arrive at Meet and Greet T1

When you reach the entrance to the car park follow the instructions on the digital information screen. Once you've parked, unload your luggage and enter the Meet & Greet reception to hand over your keys - the car park only takes your individual car key, so keyrings and other keys won't be accepted. You'll be given a receipt, which you should keep safe for your return.

Then follow the footpath to the terminal, which takes less than 5 minutes.

On your return to Manchester

When you get back, walk to reception where you dropped your car off, and collect your keys. The car park will let you know where your car is parked and members of the Meet and Greet team will be there to help.

Important Information

We recommend removing any hand sanitiser from your car while you're away - during hot weather it can become flammable.

Returning to a different terminal? You'll need to make your way back to the terminal you flew from.

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period of 6 hours at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £25, which is subject to change. If you pick up your car early we can't give you a refund.

Help us go green! There's no need to print out your booking confirmation, just show it on your mobile device.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit under the 2m entry barrier and fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).

The car park has luggage trolleys near the arrival lanes - you'll need £1 to use them.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What about any accessibility requirements?
Meet and Greet parking is ideal for guests with a disability as there's no need for transfers.

There are disabled bays for Blue Badge holders. Anyone who uses a wheelchair or has a mobility problem will have their car parked next to the Meet and Greet building or in one of the Blue Badge parking bays. If you have a Blue Badge, just follow the blue line in the car park to find the disabled bays.

The walk to the terminal takes only a few minutes and is doable by wheelchair unaided.

If you have booked airport assistance, you can be met at the car park, just make sure you let them know when you book.

If you need extra support, you'll need to arrange it when you book. On the day, you'll need to go to the Meet and Greet office so the OCS can be called to come and help.
  • Is there a maximum car size?
Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit under the 2m entry barrier and fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).
  • What security measures are in place?
The storage site has been awarded the Park Mark, a national security award accredited by the Association of Chief Police Officers. Before being awarded the Park Mark, car parks have to be inspected by the police. They have to have modern security measures, such as alarms, clean surfaces and well-lit areas. Car parks which have been awarded the Park Mark are regularly reinspected by the police.
