Virgin Atlantic has become the first airline in Europe to install wifi across all its 39 aircraft plus those operated by its partner Delta.
The service isn’t free wifi. There are a number of options of which the most popular is bound to be the £2.99 messaging service on board Virgin’s A330, A340 and 747 aircraft. This offer enables travellers to access Whatsapp, iMessage, Facebook Messenger and other messaging apps for the entire flight and with no data limit.
Passengers wishing to browse the internet can do so for £4.99 for an hour using the airline’s ‘Wi-Fi light’ service. Alternatively, if you need to be connected during the whole duration of the flight then the ‘Wi-Fi max’ service for £14.99is the answer.
