Hampton by Hilton
This is a newly refurbished hotel about a mile or five minute journey away from Luton Airport. The 188 roomed hotel has a light and contemporary feel and is an ideal place to stay for travellers with an early start.
The hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast and daily newspaper. Guests can choose from twin, double and double rooms with sofa. All the rooms have LCD TV, air conditioning, high speed internet, tea and coffee facilities, power shower, iron and iron board.
Families can stay in the spacious double room with a pull out sofa and cots are available on request. There is good accessibility throughout the hotel. Accessible rooms have a large walk in shower, visual strobes, lowered sink, toilets and beds.
There is an informal restaurant which is open from 4.30 am for guests with early flights to catch and has a self service area. The menu has a selection of dinning options serving light snacks or hot meals and a children’s menu is available too. The bright and contemporary hotel bar is open 24 hours.
There is also a gym/fitness centre for guests wishing to continue their health regime or to de stress after a busy day. Business delegates can take advantage of the hotel’s business centre and it’s three meeting rooms. The largest room can accommodate up to 90 delegates. There is a printing service and in room wireless and wired internet.
Holiday Inn Express
Luton’s Holiday Inn Express hotel is the ideal location for travellers as it is very close to the airport.
The guest rooms all have triple glazing and air conditioning if you’re worried about airport noise. The guest rooms have flat screen TV’s and free wi-fi. There are tea and coffee facilities in rooms and breakfast is served from 4am for early risers with a selection of toast and cereals which are complimentary.
A cooked and continental breakfast is available from 6.30 am. The hotel is family friendly and it can provide rollaway beds, sofa beds or cots in a selection of rooms.
The hotel also has a 24 hour business centre which is useful, especially if you’ve forgotten to print of your boarding cards! For business guests there are also a variety of conference rooms for up to 56 delegates. There is a restaurant and bar to relax in. the restaurant serves hot and cold food including british classics like fish and chips and roast chicken.
With it’s 162 modern rooms and only a ten minute walk to and from the airport this Ibis budget hotel is an ideal choice for travellers with an early start.
The hotel prides itself on it’s modern, clean and comfortable rooms. There is a selection of double twin and family rooms. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities, a TV and free WIFI. The hotel provides a buffet style all-you-can-eat breakfast in the mornings.
There is also a cafe and bar, where guests can enjoy a bite to eat and a drink. The bar stays open until 11pm every day. The hotel also has a selection of business rooms available on request.
This hotel is a twenty minute walk from Luton airport.
It offers 124 bright, modern and spacious bedrooms, which are air conditioned. They are designed for comfort, with tea/ coffee making facilities, flat screen televisions and complimentary WIFI. They are a family friendly hotel and can provide sofa beds for children under 8 years.
Breakfasts can be selected from their On the Go, continental or full English options. The contemporary restaurant and bar offer a comprehensive selection of meals ranging from light snacks and sandwiches, to burgers and pasta, plus a good selection of wine, beers, spirits and soft drinks. There is also a carvery serving a selection of roast meats each evening from 6pm.

Well organised receipt, but unfortunately the check in procedure does not have the facility to deal with return to the car park from a hotel rather than an incoming flight. Therefore we arrived back earlier because the check in person had used an arbitrary flight number. So we had to wait till our car was extricated from the car pound. The staff however were very polite and did this as quickly as possible with no fuss. It would be a good idea to install automatic doors at the check in area, as most people are trailing luggage etc. We will use them again though!
Excellent hotel, within walking distance of airport, yet no airport noise. Parking was easy, bus dropped us at hotel and we walked to terminal next morning. Then caught bus back to car park. Car waiting for us on arrival. Thank you. Would recommend.
I was thoroughly disappointed after recently using Parking 4 less. We arrived at the drop-off point late at night, which was difficult to find in the dark as it wasn't well sign posted. We then dropped the car off and got onto the bus. No one had mentioned we needed to specify we were going to Holiday Inn, rather than straight to the airport; it also didn't state this on any of our confirmation. We travelled on the bus, and arrived at the airport. We asked where the hotel was, and the driver said that we had needed to tell him we wanted to go to the hotel, rather than the airport. He said he would drop us off on his way back, but we would need to wait for another 10 minutes on the bus. Once the bus had left again, we endured a 20 minute journey (longer than the stated 10 minute trip), until we ended up back at the parking drop-off location again. We asked the driver why he hadn't taken us back, and he said he was on medication, and he had forgotten. This was incredibly frustrating (and worrying!), as it was now 00:30am. We then had to sit on the bus for another 10 minutes while the drivers changed and it left again for the airport. I wouldn't use this firm again.
